Ephemeral

Like a falling leaf,
Floating down my trunk
In hypnotic, looping swirls,
Filling my world of cold and decay
With your brilliant ballet of gold,
You made me forget
What becomes of a fallen leaf,
And the tree it leaves
Shivering in the cold.

I apologize for failing this week! I set out to write a 3LineTale, but inspiration hit and I let the pen do its thing. I liked my first draft so much that I didn’t want to change it. Apologies Sonya! Check out more 3LineTales HERE

Don’t forget to tell me what you think!

That was a beautiful poem. I would pick the last 3 lines for the 3 line tale. It sums it all.. 🙂

Brilliant ballet of gold – lovely line. Cold and loneliness abound here – you’ve created a great atmosphere. 🙂
